CHOCOLATE PIE FILLING 
3/4 c. sugar
7 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa

Mix sugar, flour, salt and chocolate. Add eggs and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring with wooden spoon, cool. Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue (make one pie shell).

MERINGUE:

2 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar in small bowl until stiff. Gradually add sugar. Continue beating until sugar is dissolved. Spread over entire pie. Brown in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
