PECAN PIE BARS | |
1 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. dark corn syrup 1 1/2 c. pecans Mix shortening, (can use butter) brown sugar, flour and salt. Mix as for pie crust and put in 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Beat eggs gently, add sugar, vanilla, corn syrup and salt. Add pecans. Pour over crust and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Reduce heat to 275 degrees and bake until set, about 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. |
