BUTTERSCOTCH OATIES 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch bits
2 tbsp. boiling water
2 c. rolled oats, uncooked
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sifted flour
Dash of salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butterscotch bits and butter; melt over boiling water. Remove from heat. Dissolve baking soda in 2 tablespoons boiling water, add to the butterscotch mix. Gradually blend in remaining ingredients. Drop by slightly rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 10 minutes, cool on wire rack.
