1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen OR 1 qt. fresh strawberries
3 oz. strawberry Jello
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. solid shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix Jello with strawberries and set aside. Spread marshmallows in bottom of pan. Mix remaining ingredients for batter; pour into pan over marshmallows. Pour strawberry mix over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
