MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 lb. ground meat
1 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic
1 onion, chopped
1 lg. jalapeno pepper, chopped

Combine all ingredients and brown in a skillet. 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 egg 1 sm. can cream style corn 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Mix above ingredients (except cheese) in a bowl. Pour half of mixture in 9 inch pan or round pan. Top with drained meat mixture. Top with cheese. Top with remaining cornmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
