APPLESCOTCH CRISP 
4 c. peeled & sliced cooking apples
Or 2 cans drained pie apples
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. water

Combine in large bowl all ingredients; mix well. Pour into greased 9 inch square baking dish.

3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 pkg. (4 serving size) dry butterscotch or vanilla pudding & pie filling mix, not instant
1/2 c. butter, melted

Combine in medium bowl; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
