NANCY'S TURTLE CAKE 
1 box chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. butter
14 oz. pkg. caramels
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix batter according to directions on package. Pour half of batter into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

While this is baking, place caramels, milk and butter in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Pour over cake mixture in pan. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Pour remaining cake batter over chocolate chips. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and frost with chocolate icing. Freezes well.
