CHINESE SALAD WITH FUNNY SAUCE 
3 sm. carrots
3 broccoli stalks
1 piece celery
1/2 bell pepper
3 tbsp. sesame oil (optional)

Cut vegetables into strips, which should be thicker than match sticks. Sprinkle a little bit of salt over the cut vegetables and let it drain for about 10 minutes.

SAUCE:

1 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tsp. wine
3 tbsp. water
Dash of white pepper or black pepper
Some crushed red pepper
1 diced green onion

Mix the first 6 ingredients well. Add 1 diced green onion. Toss the vegetables with the sauce, refrigerate for 5-6 hours or overnight. This salad is better if you add 3 tablespoons sesame oil. I suggest salad oil if you don't have sesame oil. Serves 4.
