ALMOND BARS 
FIRST LAYER:

1 c. butter
2 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Mix and pat in a 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle a small package of slivered almonds on top. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 350 degree oven.

SECOND LAYER:

8 oz. cream cheese
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Beat cream cheese until creamy. Add eggs, sugar, and almond flavoring. Beat and spread over first layer. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Scant 1 1/2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Mix and spread over top when cool.
