MILD TURKEY CHILI | |
2 tbsp. oil 1 c. onion, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1 glove garlic, minced 1 1/4 lbs. ground turkey 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. ground cumin 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans Salt & pepper to taste Saute' onion and celery in oil, add turkey and fry until no longer pink. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin and garlic. Bring to a boil, reduce to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Mix in beans, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Can be served over rice or noodles. SUBSTITUTE: 1/8 teaspoon dried instant minced garlic for 1 glove of garlic. |
