LOW FAT TURKEY CHILI | |
1 lb. lean ground turkey 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 (10 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 4 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. ground pepper 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 1/4 tsp. paprika 1/2 c. oatmeal (blended) Cook ground turkey and onion over medium-high heat about 10 minutes until done. Stir frequently to break up meat. Drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, pepper, salt, cumin and paprika. Bring to boiling. Blend oatmeal in the blender to a coarse flour consistency. Add to the boiling chili. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Makes 4-6 servings. (May use chicken.) |
