SUE'S APPLE CRUMB PIE 
9" unbaked pie shell
7 tart McIntosh apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. sifted flour
6 tbsp. butter (hard)

Preheat oven at 400 degrees.

1. Pare apples, core and cut into slices. Arrange in pie shell.

2. Mix together 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle over the apples.

3. Mix remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of flour and the 6 tablespoons of butter by crumbling between your fingers and sprinkle over top of apples.

4. Bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let cool. Test apples with toothpick to check for doneness.
