CHOCOLATE LIME SWIRL PIE | |
25-30 chocolate cookies 3 tbsp. butter, melted 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. hot water 1 tsp. grated lemon rind 4 drops green food coloring 1 pkg. lime jello 1/4 c. lemon juice 1 tall can evaporated milk (chilled) Butter a 10-inch pan; line side of pan with whole cookies. Crush remaining cookies and mix with melted butter. Line bottom of pan with crushed cookie mix, saving some for Swirl Topping. Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add lemon juice and sugar. Let stand while whipping milk to a stiff form. Add gelatin mixture to whipped milk and continue whipping until a stiff peak is formed. Add lemon rind and food coloring. Pour over cookie crumbs. Make swirl on top and sprinkle chocolate crumbs on Swirl. Chill 2 hours and serve. |
