2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 c. sliced strawberries
1/2 c. sugar

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour

Sift flour, baking powder, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening. Combine milk with egg and stir into flour mixture, blending well.
