NANA - BANANA BREAD 
1 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. buttermilk
2 eggs, well beaten
1 banana, mashed
1 c. apple sauce
2 c. flour (plain)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix Crisco and sugar and beat for two minutes. Add buttermilk and eggs; beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and slowly add to first mixture. Thoroughly blend. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. This recipe is over 50 years old. The bread freezes well.
