DRIED APPLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. dried apples, cooked
3/4 c. butter
4 eggs
1 c. sour milk
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 c. nuts

Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add apples. Mix soda and spices with flour. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to butter mixture. Stir in raisins, nuts and coconut. Bake in 3 (9") cake pans at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

FILLING: Cook 2 cups sugar and 3/4 cup half and half as for candy. Remove from heat and add 1 cup raisins, 1 1/2 cups nuts, 1 cup coconut, 1/2 teaspoon allspice and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Spread between layers and on top.
