2 cans garbanzo beans (chick peas) 3 tbsp. tahini (sesame paste, available at Safeway) 2 cloves garlic, crushed Juice of half a lemon 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. water Mix tahini with water, garlic, lemon and salt. Add chick peas (1 can drained) and put in blender or food processor. Process until smooth. You may add more garlic or lemon juice to taste. Serve with pita bread. |
