PREACHER'S CAKE 
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
2 level teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix together sugar, flour, baking soda, vanilla, eggs, nuts, and pineapple with juice. Pour into 9x13x2 inch pan.

Bake in a preheated 300°F oven for 30 to 45 minutes, or until done. Frost if desired.

Yield: 1 (9x13 inch) cake.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 3/4 cups confectioners sugar

Cream together all ingredients. Ice cooled cake.
