PRUNE CAKE 
1 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. oil
1 c. cooked prunes, chopped and drained
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and oil. Add eggs and mix. Add buttermilk and mix well. Stir in prunes. Pour into ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan, bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into squares and pour icing over cake while still warm.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all the above ingredients in large pan. Cook until mixture forms soft ball. Pour over cake while cake is still warm.
