ORANGE SAUCED CARROTS 
3 c. sliced carrots
1/4 c. water or 1/4 c. orange juice
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
2/3 c. orange juice
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. cloves, ground
Orange slices, parsley

Place sliced carrots, water or orange juice in a 1 1/2 quart glass casserole. Microwave on high for 9-10 minutes until tender.

Combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Blend in orange juice, butter, salt, ginger and cloves. Stir into carrots. Microwave 2 minutes uncovered. Stir. Microwave 1 1/2 more minutes. Garnish with orange slices or parsley.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
