CRUNCHY APPLE CRISP 
4 c. peeled, sliced apples
1/2 c. water or apple juice
4 tsp. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. chopped almonds
1/2 c. oats
1 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. melted butter

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine apples, water, brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon, toss lightly to coat apples. Arrange apples in an 8 inch square pan.

Combine ingredients, mix well. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is browned. Serve chilled or warm.
