MORNING SPICE MUFFINS | |
1 c. white flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3/4 c. whole wheat flour 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1 c. buttermilk 1/3 c. butter 1/2 c. raisins Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease muffin tins. Sift together the first 7 ingredients. Stir in whole wheat flour and sugar. Lightly beat egg in small bowl. Beat in buttermilk and butter. Stir in raisins. Pour mixture into flour mixture. Stir briskly until moistened. Bake 20 minutes. |
