SALISBURY STEAK 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. chopped parsley (or flakes)
1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
1 egg
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. shortening

Preheat frying pan at 350 degrees. Combine ground beef, egg, onion, butter, salt, pepper, and parsley. Shape into patties about 1 inch thick. Dredge in crushed corn flakes, covering sides and edges. Melt shortening and fry patties until brown on both sides. Mix one package gravy mix and cook as directed on package. Pour over meat patties.
