“TEXAS PRALINES” IS IN:

TEXAS PRALINES 
3 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups pecans, chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients except butter and vanilla. Cook to firm ball stage (244-248°F on candy thermometer).

Add butter and vanilla. Beat until mixture begins to thicken. Drop on waxed paper.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.
