EASTER BREAD 
6 eggs, beaten
2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
Flour
1/2 c. Crisco

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water. Add 1/2 teaspoon sugar.

Heat sugar, salt and shortening until Crisco melts. Let cool. Stirring constantly, add dissolved yeast and eggs to cooled mixture. Add flour until dough is easy to handle. Knead well.

Let rise until doubled, about 2 hours. Cut into four balls. Knead well then raise on floured board 20 minutes. Pan braid. Put in greased, round cake pans. Raise 1 hour. Bake 40 minutes at 375 degrees.
