CRUNCH DROPS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking oats
2 c. crisp rice cereal
1 c. shredded coconut

Cream together shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Add oats, rice cereal, and coconut and blend well. Drop by a teaspoon onto a greased sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
