APPLESAUCE MEAT BALLS 
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. seasoned croutons
1 1/2 lb. ground round steak
2/3 c. apple sauce
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sage
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup (2 if needed)
1/2 c. water

Beat egg with milk, add croutons; let stand 5 minutes. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Add the rest of the ingredients except soup and water. Mix thoroughly. Shape into 24 balls; place in shallow baking pan. Heat soup and water, add a little kitchen bouquet; spoon over meatballs. Bake 350 degrees about 1 hour.
