BAKED APPLES WITH RAISINS 
6 cooking apples
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
6 tbsp. raisins
Water

Core apples without cutting through the blossom end. Pare apples 1/3 of the way down. Place in baking dish. Combine sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Spoon into apple center. Pour enough water into bottom of dish to prevent apples from stocking. Bake uncovered in a 400 degree oven for about one hour or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
