VELVET BANANA BREAD 
5 large ripe bananas
4 eggs, well beaten
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts

Beat bananas until liquid is combined with eggs and set aside. Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add banana mixture and blend. Add sifted dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Fold in nuts. Pour into two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
