COFFEE CAKE MUFFINS 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Combine sugar, nuts, flour, butter, and cinnamon. Mix shortening into dry ingredients. Add milk and eggs. Stir until moistened. Spoon small amounts into paper cupcakes or muffin tins. Top with nut mixture and add more amounts in each cup. Sprinkle tops. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. 12 muffins.
