BARBECUED CHICKEN 
1 (3-3 1/2 lb.) ready to cook young chicken, cut in pieces
2 med. onions, in 1/4" slices
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 c. catsup
1 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2-3 tbsp. Worcestershire
2 tbsp. vinegar

Brown chicken slowly in hot salad oil. Remove chicken. Cook onion and celery in hot oil until tender but not brown; add remaining ingredients; season; simmer 10 minutes.

Place chicken in 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish; pour sauce over. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 1/4 hours or until done. Makes 6 servings.
