2 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. white Karo 3/4 c. water 1 tsp. vanilla 1 lg. beaten egg white, beaten 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. pecan pieces 1 tsp. vanilla Boil water, sugar, Karo and salt until it forms a firm ball in cold water. I let mine form a thread. Then pour slowly over beaten egg white. Cool slightly, then add pecans and vanilla and beat until it loses its gloss - drop by teaspoons on wax paper or pour in buttered dish. |
