COUNTRY STEAK AND CHILI GRAVY 
2 lb. beef round steak cut into serving pieces, or 2 lb. cube steaks
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten with 2 tbsp. water
1 c. finely crushed corn flakes
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 c. Wesson vegetable oil
1 med. onion, sliced
1 sm. green pepper, sliced
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
3/4 c. water

Trim all fat off steak; pound with meat mallet or edge of saucer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dip into egg, then into crushed corn flakes mixed with chili powder.

Heat Wesson in large skillet; brown meat on both sides. Add onion and green pepper. Pour in tomato sauce and water. Cover and simmer 1-1 1/4 hours or until tender. Makes 5-6 servings.
