ENGLISH MUFFIN LOAF 
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
2 tbsp. yeasts
1/2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. potato water
Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and soda. Heat liquids until very warm (120 to 130 degrees). Add to dry mixture; beat well. Stir in enough more flour to make a stiff batter. Knead 3 to 4 times and divide in half. Place each half in a greased loaf pan that has been sprinkled with cornmeal. Cover; let rise in warm place 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pan immediately and cool on wire racks.
