LEBKUCHEN I 
4 eggs
1 lb. flour
1 lb. pulverized sugar
1/4 lb. citron
1/4 lb. lemon and orange peel
1/4 lb. almonds, chopped with skin on
1 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. whiskey

Beat sugar and eggs until very light (1/2 hour on electric mixer). Add almonds, spices, whiskey and flour. Let dough stand until cold and hard. Roll on board (with flour) about 1/4 inch thick. Cut in 2 1/2 inch or 3 inch round shape. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Use circle shaped cookie cutter.
