CHERRY COCONUT BARS 
2 c. flour
6 tbsp. confectioners sugar
2 sticks butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, diced

Combine flour, confectioners sugar and butter. Press into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

Combine remaining ingredients and spread over top of baked crust.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°F. Cool in pan. Cut into squares or bars.

Yield: 18 to 20 servings.
