LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD | |
1 head lettuce 1 c. diced celery 4 eggs, hard-boiled & sliced 1/2 pkgs. frozen petite peas 1/2 c. green pepper, diced 1 med. sweet onion, sliced 5 to 6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled TOPPING: 2 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar 3 oz. Parmesan cheese 4 oz. grated sharp cheddar Lightly grease or use Pam on 9 x 12 inch Pyrex dish. Tear lettuce into bite- size pieces. Layer rest in order. Mix topping ingredients. Spread over salad like a frosting. Sprinkle cheese on top. refrigerate overnight. May garnish with additional bacon and/or parsley. May omit green pepper or onion. |
