GIANT SPICE CAKE 
2 c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. raisins
2 c. salad oil
4 c. water
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. cinnamon

6 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 c. walnuts (or pecans)

Combine first group of ingredients in a large kettle and boil one or two minutes. Cool.

Combine second group of ingredients and add to first mixture. Bake in greased and floured pan, 15 x 11 inch at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. (Two smaller pans may be used). Can be frozen for as long as 6 months.
