GREEN BEAN PIE | |
One can crescent rolls (8 slices of bread) 1 lb. ground chuck 1/2 green sweet pepper, chopped 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 can tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning 1 lg. can cut green beans Grated longhorn cheddar cheese Press crescent rolls in pan (put 8 slices of bread in pan, trim to fit pan). Brown ground chuck, drain and add chopped pepper and onions. Cook for five minutes or until onion is tender. Add drained green beans and tomato sauce and salt, pepper and seasoning. Cook for approximately 30 minutes over low heat. Add ingredients to crust and cover with cheese. Bake about 30 more minutes or until crust and cheese are golden brown on 350 degrees. Makes 8 servings. Equals one slice bread, 1 oz. cheese, 1/2 serving vegetable. For "Legal" dish, bread must be used instead of Crescent rolls. |
