RICE PIE WITH MEAT CRUST 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. tomato sauce
3 c. cooked rice
1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/2 c. grated cheese

Combine beef, bread crumbs, onions, green peppers, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Pat mixture onto bottom and sides of a greased 10-inch pie plate. Combine rice, tomato sauce and grated cheese. Spoon mixture into shell. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese; bake 5 minutes more. Serves 6.
