MICROWAVE STIR-FRY BEEF 
MARINADE:

1/4 c. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 slice fresh gingerroot, minced or 1 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

STIR FRY:

1 lb. beef flank or sirloin steak, cut in 1/8 to 1/4 inch strips, 1 1/2 to 2
inches long
2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods, defrosted in pkg. at high 1 to 2 minutes.

Combine marinade ingredients in order given and stir in meat to coat well. Marinate at room temperature 20 to 30 minutes. Preheat 10-inch browning dish at high 5 1/2 minutes. Add meat and marinate quickly, stirring briskly until sizzling slows. Quickly add remaining ingredients; stir well.

Microwave at high 5 1/2 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp and meat is done, stirring every 2 minutes. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
