IRISH TEA BRACK 
2 1/2 c. mixed dried fruit (dried currants & dark & golden raisins)
1 c. boiling black tea
1 egg
1 tsp. mixed spice (equal amounts of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and or mace)
4 tsp. marmalade
1 heaping c. superfine granulated sugar
2 1/3 c. self-rising flour

Makes 1 (2 lb.) loaf.

Place the dried fruit in a bowl, cover with the hot tea; leave to soak overnight. The next day, add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Pour the batter into a greased 7" square pan and bake in center of the oven for 1 1/2 hours. Let cool in the pan on a rack. Serve buttered. Store in an air tight container.
