AUGUST GARDEN PASTA 
1 pkg. angel hair pasta
3/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. heavy cream
1 1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan
Dash of nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 sm. crookneck squash
6-10 shallots
3-4 carrots

Cook noodles. Steam vegetables.

Heat cream and butter together, about 1 minute. Toss noodles in cream mixture over a low heat. Add Parmesan and seasonings. Mix well. Add steamed vegetables. Have more Parmesan on hand for individual garnishing.

Note: Other vegetables can be used--broccoli, cauliflower, onions, snow peas, zucchini....
