FILLED COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sour milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
Pinch salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

1 c. raisins
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. nut meats
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. flour

Mix and roll out. Cut with round cutter. Put teaspoon filling on one and cover with another pinching edges together. Bake until edges are brown. Filling should be cooked and cooled.
