AUTHENTIC SCOTTISH SHORTBREAD | |
1 stick butter 1 stick butter 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 4 tbsp. cornstarch Pinch of salt Cream butters and sugar until almost white. Combine dry ingredients and mix in well. Dough will be stiff. Can be beaten with an electric mixer or food processor. Form into ball and press into brownie pan (small rectangle). Prick with a fork. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not let brown on top. Cut into finger size pieces while still hot. Let cool. Will store very well. Good for mailing. Delicious at Christmas Time. |
