GRANDMA'S STUFFING | |
2 loaves of unsliced white bread 2/3 cup vegetable broth 5 celery stalks 1 large onion 4 to 5 tbsp. poultry seasoning 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter salt and pepper, to taste Tear 2 loves of white bread (unsliced) into bite sized pieces. Add vegetable broth, about 2/3 cup, or until mildly moistened, not soggy, and set aside. Finely slice 5 celery stalks and 1 large onion, sauté in butter until transparent (tender). Once celery and onions are done, pour the mixture over the bread mixture and mix well. Add 4-5 tablespoons of poultry seasoning (or to taste). Melt 1/2 stick of butter and pour over the bread mixture and mix well until add coated. Add salt and pepper to taste, and mix. Heat in 350°F oven until warm and tips are brown. Voila; easy peasy and so yummy stuffing... Enjoy! Submitted by: Carter P. |
