MOTHER'S COOKED SALAD DRESSING
2 eggs
5 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
Few grains of paprika
1 heaping tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 tall can of evaporated milk

In a double boiler: beat eggs well, add sugar, salt, paprika, mustard and flour. Heat vinegar to boiling point - pour over egg mixture, beating all the time.

Add milk gradually, cook until thick as desired, beating constantly. Cool. Makes about 2 cups. This is always used for our potato salads. Combine this dressing with whipped cream for fruit salads.
