FRENCH MEAT PIE 
4 lbs. pork and beef, ground
1 med. onion
4 c. bread crumbs, fine
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. sage or savory salt
Pepper to taste
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. allspice

Put meat in frying pan. Cook for 3/4 hour - low heat. Keep covered until done. Thicken with a little cornstarch and water.

Make pie crust from your favorite recipe but not too rich. Pour into lower crust, cover with top crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until nicely browned - enough filling for 2 pies.
