BUTTERSWEETS 
COOKIE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

FILLING:

1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. coconut

COOKIE: Cream sugar, butter, salt and vanilla. Blend in flour. Place cookies 2" apart on cookie sheet. Make imprint with thumb in center of each. Bake 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix filling ingredients. Fill baked cookies with filling.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Melt chocolate chips, butter and water. Stir in powdered sugar to spreading consistency. Drizzle frosting over cookies. Variation: Put half of maraschino cherry on top of filling and drizzle frosting on top.
