BAKED CHILI BEANS 
1 lb. dry pinto beans
2 lb. lean hamburger
1 qt. canned tomatoes
1/4 c. chili powder
2 med. onions, diced
1 green pepper
Red pepper
Salt

Put dry beans, 5 cups water and 2 teaspoons salt in large pot. Bring to a boil and let stand 6 hours or overnight. Brown meat in pan. Combine meat, beans, tomatoes, onions and chili powder. Add 1 quart water, salt and pepper to taste. Bake in 350 degree oven for 4-5 hours, use a covered pot. Check water periodically. Do not let beans cook dry.
